For 万科·理想屋顶大地艺术节2024
This installation was created for the local Autumn Art Festival and consists of several curved plywood panels supported by a wooden framework.

The Roof aims to create a connection between visitors and the surrounding landscape. The curved surfaces, floating above the field, will serve as both an iconic billboard and a vibrant public stage. Visitors are invited to climb onto the rooftop, sharing a slow and beautiful moment together. Over time, as the exhibition progresses, the structure will transform into a canvas, welcoming graffiti artists and locals to contribute their own artworks.








During installation, the structure was assembled using methods that minimized intervention to the site’s original condition. Discarded materials found on site—such as concrete blocks—were repurposed to form elements like steps and base supports.

Members


ZHANG Jie / 张婕is a spatial designer and artist based in Shanghai. She trained as an architect at Huaqiao University and the University of Hong Kong from 2013 to 2020. Since relocating to Shanghai in 2020, she has focused on small-scale installations and spatial design.

YANG Chen / 杨晨 is an architectural designer and illustrator based in Florence. He studied architecture at Huaqiao University (2013-2018) and Politecnico di Torino (2019-2021), and has worked at WNA Architects in Torino and ACE Srl. in Florence.
